Introducing Our New Farm-to-Table Program!

We are excited to announce the launch of our new Farm-to-Table program at Excelsior Child Care! This innovative initiative is designed to connect our young learners with the sources of their food, promote healthy eating habits, and provide hands-on educational experiences.

Program Highlights:

• Gardening: Children will participate in planting, tending, and harvesting a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs in our school garden. This hands-on experience will teach them about plant life cycles, sustainability, and the importance of caring for the environment.

• Cooking Classes: Our little chefs will enjoy fun and interactive cooking sessions where they will learn to prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks using fresh ingredients from our garden. These classes will help develop their culinary skills and foster an appreciation for healthy eating.

• Farm Visits: Regular visits to local farms will allow our students to see where their food comes from, meet farmers, and learn about different farming practices. These field trips will enhance their understanding of agriculture and the food supply chain.
